Metempsychosis and the idea of living again after death have similarities with some of our religious beliefs like ‘Return’.
If metempsychosis is not true and attachment of soul to another body after separating from the original one is not possible, how can we accept the idea of return? How does metamorphosis (transferring of spirit to animal’s body) happen? This paper aims to explain characteristics and kinds of metempsychosis and Return, taking advantage of direct sources of those who believe in these subjects, and to prevent from this doubt that transmogrification and return are the same. This paper reviews and explicates the theory of ‘life after death’, ‘transmogrification’ and ‘return’.
