In an outer look at ḥadīth sciences, the first pivotal issue that must be investigated is the nature of traditions. Heretofore, studies in the field have usually been presented separately, and the whole field has not often been defined through a complete picture. In this writing, studies in traditions will be treated as a whole. The writer will first explain the conceptology of ḥadīth, then the conceptology of sciences, and finally, the conceptology of ḥadīth sciences, including its definition, subject, and ultimate limit.
