The history of Shī‘a’s Hadīth is considered one of the most important issues of Hadīth’s sciences. Tracing the root of Shī‘a Hadīth in the time of the Holy Prophet, Caliphs and Imams, the prohibition of Hadīth’s compilation, examination of the circumstances of formation of the first compiled hadīth texts in Shī‘a, scriptures ascribed to Shī‘īte Imams, the story of hadīth in the first century A.H. and the differences of the history of hadīth between Sunnites and Shī‘ītes; are among the issues which are included in this subject. In the presented writing, all of the books related to the subject of the history of hadīth’s are briefly introduced.
