Scholars would face epistemology, whether they want or not, because it has a valuable status in the modern mental discussions and it is one of the most fundamental sciences of human beings; it has also a vast effect on different sciences. Modern Islamic philosophy is linked to epistemology to explicate and deepen the ideological principles in humans’ soul and mind, and also is to present a strong support to prove and fix them. But because of the transfer of westerners’ achievements in the field of epistemology, this knowledge has continually been in contrast with new issues. Therefore the necessity of deep research in this field is clear. This research, with an overview of epistemology and its background, tries to explicate the components of epistemology in Sadra’s philosophy because Sadra is one of the few Scholars who presented firm and acceptable discussions in the field of philosophy and epistemology.
