Abstract

The rule of causation will be discussed in the chapter on "causes of liability", and in this article three viewpoints will be mentioned.  In the first part of the article, the viewpoints of the early scholars will be discussed, and, in the second part, the lack of independence of causation concerning liability will be explained, and in the last section, it will be discussed that causation generally causes liability to sum up.
The writer after discussing the function of the rule in Islamic punishment laws and in the Sunnite jurisprudence mentions the difference between this rule and the rule of "destruction and deceit".
In the writer's words, it is agreed by all Islamic scholars that in some cases the rule involved liability; however, in the discussion of "legal purity", there are different opinions e.g., when someone makes a part of a mosque, and someone else pays for the costs.
